Tom Brady's future with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went from Superbowl Champions in 2020, losing in the Divisional playoffs in 2021, and losing in the Wildcard playoffs this past Monday night. Tom Brady 45 will decide if he will play for the Bucs for a 4th season, go to another NFL team or retire after to playing 23 Seasons in the NFL. If Brady, who will turn 46 on August 3 decide to go to another team it will be how Tampa Bay didn't keep things in place like they did when Bruce Arians was their head coach. BA was forced out of coaching and took an executive position with the Bucs because of the rumors of Brady being upset at times with BA and frustrated with the Bucs struggle offensively  and the whole Antonio Brown situation that caused the Bucs organization to cut AB because of AB's antics during the Tampa Bay Bucs and New York Jets game in 2021.

The Bucs players feel that Brady plan on moving on from Tampa Bay because he was set up to try to win games for the Bucs when they were down double digits in a bunch of games during the regular season that Brady helped the Bucs come back and win generating game winning drives. Brady was not like former QB Peyton Manning who called his own plays and Brady didn't want to be that kind of QB. He wanted the plays that the coach called to be executed.

The Bucs rushing attack was non-existent when they needed it the most forcing Brady to throw the 🏈 to receivers who are deep threats that dropped catches or at times didn't expect the pass to be thrown at them. The Bucs offense was too predictable under coach Todd Bowles that at times Brady would throw interceptions. Coach Bowles is a defensive minded coach which caused Bowles to be too conservative. The Bucs only won the division by one game over the Atlanta Falcons, the Carolina Panthers, and the New Orleans Saints. Brady had his first losing record in his career (8-9) to make the postseason. The Bucs fired offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, fired wide receivers coach Kevin Graver, fired running backs coach Todd McNair, Clyde Christensen quarterbacks coach retired before he was going to be fired, and fired defensive coach Lori Locust.

With the Bucs still not having a QB successor to Brady in place, they may have to try to go after Jimmy Garoppolo of the San Francisco 49ers who will be cut by the Niners or Derek Carr of the Las Vegas Raiders who will be cut by the Raiders. Those 2 teams are possible landing spots for Brady if he decides to leave Tampa. The Bucs may even have to part ways with their current head coach Bowles and try reaching out to former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton, the long shots Bill Cowher, former Bucs coach Tony Dungy, and Mike Holmgren. This off season will be an interesting 🤔 one for Tampa.
